Physical & mental wellbeing go hand in hand at Telent

"people are in different boats in the same ocean"

telentTelent has always been committed to protecting the health, safety, and wellbeing of our colleagues. The pandemic hit everyone in different ways, and it’s important as a business to recognise that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to Wellbeing. Understanding that people are in different boats in the same ocean ensures that Telent offers a variety of different support options to suit individual needs.

For colleagues who prefer to speak to someone in person, Telent offers an Employee Assistance Programme (in conjunction with UNUM Lifeworks) that provides access to face-to-face, telephone, or online counselling, plus advice on a range of issues. For those who prefer to access information at their leisure, Telent’s dedicated Wellbeing hub on the employee intranet provides a central place for a number of online resources; such as booklets and guides, pre-recorded webinars, and links to talks and resources from external wellbeing service providers.

In addition, Telent promotes Line Manager training sessions throughout the year to guide managers in supporting their team – particularly as more colleagues moved to remote working as a result of the pandemic.

It’s important to recognise that physical and mental wellbeing go hand in hand. All colleagues have access to Telent’s Occupational Health service, which provides professional support and guidance for both physical and mental wellbeing. Telent also works alongside external service providers such as Healthy Employee, U-First, and Rightsteps who offer online, on-demand access to health and wellbeing information, advice, and support, plus live webinars and wellbeing sessions on a number of topics throughout the year.

People are at the heart of our business and we will continue to look for innovative ways to support the wellbeing of our colleagues now and in the future.
