Lights, Camera, Action!
As Warwickshire’s economy kickstarts post COVID-19 and the more long-term use of safety measures are adopted into every touch of life, the Counties Economy and Skills team have been working with businesses and education partners to explore how different areas of the economy could digitally interact with education and those seeking work and how they might support the county in maintaining a strong supply of talent, whilst also providing opportunity for multiple sectors to gain new skills by presenting their business in a quite different digital world
Warwickshire County Council and its Economy and Skills Team are pleased to launch a pilot project which sees the first project for 2020, funded by the Skills For Employment Programme available to recruiting Warwickshire businesses
The Future Careers Digital Market Place programme will provide a digital media opportunity for businesses to work with a filming company to produce a film piece which will showcase their current and future employment and career pathways
Each participating business will present who they are, what they do and the opportunities which sit behind their doors. The team will look to film with senior management and HR teams, providing a company overview and insight to the recruitment processes, where roles are advertised, what skills are needed and progression pathways.
Nervous about getting in front of the camera?
For any businesses who might not be experienced in front of the camera, then don’t worry. Social distancing means that only two members of the project team will join you on the day. Before then there will be lots of support on hand to help you talk through preparations
Once filming is complete the film pieces will appear online for schools, colleges and employment programmes to access and feature in various planned Future Careers Digital Market Place Events in the autumn where employers will have further opportunity to dial into virtual careers events
How to get involved?
Our team are holding virtual meetings with businesses to talk through the project, your ideas and the support available to help you shape a film piece which is unique to you and your career opportunities.
